Bread Baking Day 2: Soft Pretzels
We were running low on snacks in the house and I was not eager to make an early run to the store (I like to get my food shopping done only once a week). So I decided to make some soft pretzels. I found a well reviewed recipe on the Food Network website and gave it a shot. But of course I was running low on white flour, so I had to use a cup of whole wheat flour to substitute, and since I was on a healthy track I also threw in a half a cup of toasted wheat germ into the mix. In the end the kids still loved them. Yay for healthy snacks!
